Does the Internet Drive You Crazy?

August 26, 2011 Leave a Comment

Jen’s recent post, How to keep the internet from driving you crazy, had some great tips that I knew would help you like it has helped me, as someone who is on this machine way too much.

What is it that drives you the most crazy about the internet?

For me, it’s the way sitting down to do ‘one thing’ can suck up hours of my day, and I’m not exaggerating.

Also, I wanted to share a prayer with you that my good friend, Nancy, gave me when I was struggling with my latest computer technical nightmare.

A prayer asking St. Isidore of Seville, patron Saint of the internet, for his intercession:  (A fancy way to say that we’re asking him to pray for us and with us.)

Dear St. Isidore, please ask God to remind me that my work is not only in this box before me, my work is in the people around me and the world I am a part of.  Please pray to the Lord to keep my eyes focused, my mind clear, and my heart open, so that only goodness can come from the work I produce.  Amen.

Is that the perfect prayer for a crazy blogger or what?  If the internet drives you crazy at times, it may be the perfect prayer for you, too.  🙂

By the way, here’s how to keep your kids safe online without going crazy…

Hi I’m Kelly, a Catholic Christian, a wife, a homeschooling Mom, and a writer.  Matthew’s Gospel says, “Man does not live by bread alone” — and as passionate as I am about real food, nutrition, and natural healing, I believe that knowing the Lord is even more important!  So I started this blog in addition to my other one so I could hopefully help those who don’t “get” a lot of things about Christianity, which is just how I used to feel.

Over at my Kelly the Kitchen Kop blog I talk about how you keep your family healthy without going crazy in the process. 🙂

Be sure to subscribe for new updates above, that way you won’t miss anything, although I don’t update here very often.
