Recently a close family friend of ours, Brother Andy, went to Thailand to walk in the steps of his brother, Father Larry, who died of a brain tumor early this year. Father Larry was Director of the Father Ray Foundation in Pattaya for a number of years before becoming ill. The Father Ray Foundation takes care of 850 orphaned, abused and disadvantaged children and students with disabilities…

Psalm 40

You will love this recent post from Hallee’s blog. She has such a sweet, compassionate heart, and her story really stirred something in me that has been brewing stronger lately… a deeper desire to do more for those who are less fortunate. See if it stirs you in the same way. 🙂

Are Smart People Atheists? Jen’s Story

September 12, 2010 Leave a Comment

It’s been a while since I posted something new from Jen’s blog, and this is her whole story in a talk she gave recently… How I went from lifelong atheism to orthodox Catholicism. Jen to God:  “I will trust that you will work it all out.  Even though I cannot feel you at all.” If […]

An Amazing Video About Giving

May 16, 2010 Leave a Comment

When doing some research for a post on my Kitchen Kop blog I came across this video.  See if it makes you cry, too. Has anything like this ever happened to you?  I was going to say that I wish we could write those kind of checks or help someone in huge ways like that…but […]

Health & Nutrition Guest Interview by Amy O.

We love our neighborhood full of friends who help eachother out and look out for each other’s kids. Amy (& husband, Todd) is one of those neighbors, and she’s got a great story to share about how God led her down the right paths to be healed of some serious health problems. Normally I’d post […]

My Conversion Story and How Our Marriage was Healed

January 27, 2008 17 Comments

Have you ever gone through bumps in your marriage?  Do you know how normal you are, even if the bumps are much more like Mount Everest? You don’t hear about the ones who make it… Normally we only hear about marriages that didn’t make it, but rarely do you know when someone went through a […]

100 Word Stories – Be Sure to Add YOURS in the Comments!

January 25, 2008 2 Comments

The people in our bible study group are truly some of our closest friends in the world – there are 7 couples and we’ve been meeting monthly since fall of 2002, but we’ve been friends much longer. Our most recent Bible study was on a book by Bill Hybels called, “Just Walk Across the Room“, […]

Hi I’m Kelly, a Catholic Christian, a wife, a homeschooling Mom, and a writer.  Matthew’s Gospel says, “Man does not live by bread alone” — and as passionate as I am about real food, nutrition, and natural healing, I believe that knowing the Lord is even more important!  So I started this blog in addition to my other one so I could hopefully help those who don’t “get” a lot of things about Christianity, which is just how I used to feel.

Over at my Kelly the Kitchen Kop blog I talk about how you keep your family healthy without going crazy in the process. 🙂
