8. "For me ‘it’ is just not there, why don’t I feel anything?"

April 6, 2008 1 Comment

“I was raised in a Christian church and have always tried to live right, I go to church on Sundays and I’ve even tried to pick up my Bible before, but I just don’t get it. I see other Christians who seem so “on fire” in their faith, and for me, “it” just isn’t there, […]

9. "Is there really a heaven?"

April 6, 2008 1 Comment

This question makes me think of what it must be like for babies before they are born. They probably can’t “imagine” another world beyond where they are, safe and warm inside their mother. Yet they have to “die” to that world to be born into a new even bigger and more beautiful world. We are […]

10. "How do we know what you’re saying is the REAL Truth?"

April 6, 2008 Leave a Comment

You don’t. You need to find all of this out for yourself, PRAY and ask God for help. Because even if everything I’m telling you that I believe to be the Truth with all my heart and soul someday ends up being wrong, there is still only ONE Truth. If I’m right I stand to […]

11. "But this is just YOUR truth, MY God wouldn’t …(fill in the blank)"

April 6, 2008 Leave a Comment

God doesn’t change depending on what we think is right or wrong. Even if we all “see” Him differently, it doesn’t mean He is different or that we can all live how we want. Instead it means we need to change ourselves to live how He asks. As far as the Truth, even if you […]

12. "God loves me just the way I am."

April 6, 2008 Leave a Comment

He does love you, and He’ll always love us, but like any good parent, He wants us to grow closer to Him and become more and more the person He created us to be. As a parent when we see our kids doing things that we know will hurt them in the long run, we […]

13. "I’ve tried the ‘church’ thing before, it just doesn’t work for me."

April 6, 2008 1 Comment

Sometimes we need to get through a little of what may seem uncomfortable at first, to get through to the other side full of more peace and joy than you can imagine. If you’re not “feeling it” at church, jump in and get involved — reach out to others who may be feeling uncomfortable too […]

14. "What about the hypocrites?!"

April 6, 2008 Leave a Comment

“But look at (fill in the blank), HE is supposed to be a Christian, and he goes to that (fill in the blank) church, there’s no way I want to be like HIM, what a hypocrite!” Remember this: God is perfect, His people aren’t anywhere close! If you see hypocrites around you, then you know […]

15. "If God is so good, why does He let such rotten things happen?"

April 6, 2008 Leave a Comment

You’re not alone in trying to figure this one out. ***Be sure to see my newer post with more about Why Does God Allow suffering? With many “bad things”, it comes down to this: God didn’t design us all to be robots to go around doing his bidding. He gave us “free will”.  This means we […]

My Conversion Story and How Our Marriage was Healed

January 27, 2008 17 Comments

Have you ever gone through bumps in your marriage?  Do you know how normal you are, even if the bumps are much more like Mount Everest? You don’t hear about the ones who make it… Normally we only hear about marriages that didn’t make it, but rarely do you know when someone went through a […]

Hi I’m Kelly, a Catholic Christian, a wife, a homeschooling Mom, and a writer.  Matthew’s Gospel says, “Man does not live by bread alone” — and as passionate as I am about real food, nutrition, and natural healing, I believe that knowing the Lord is even more important!  So I started this blog in addition to my other one so I could hopefully help those who don’t “get” a lot of things about Christianity, which is just how I used to feel.

Over at my Kelly the Kitchen Kop blog I talk about how you keep your family healthy without going crazy in the process. 🙂

Be sure to subscribe for new updates above, that way you won’t miss anything, although I don’t update here very often.
