A Church I Never Knew About

January 5, 2011 2 Comments

I wonder how many of us know the history of our nation’s founders and their faith?  Mostly all we hear about these days is the importance of maintaining a “separation of Church and State” and how we cannot pray in our schools.

Watch a clip of a U.S. Capital tour given by David Barton and your eyes will be opened to the truth about our country’s roots…

This is a copy of what the first Bible printed in English in America looked like.  This Bible was printed by the U.S. Congress in 1782.  In the records it says that this Bible was, “A neat edition of the Holy Scriptures for the use of schools.”  So the first Bible printed in America in English was printed by Congress for the use of our schools?

Public schools were first instituted in order to better teach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Hi I’m Kelly, a Catholic Christian, a wife, a homeschooling Mom, and a writer.  Matthew’s Gospel says, “Man does not live by bread alone” — and as passionate as I am about real food, nutrition, and natural healing, I believe that knowing the Lord is even more important!  So I started this blog in addition to my other one so I could hopefully help those who don’t “get” a lot of things about Christianity, which is just how I used to feel.

Over at my Kelly the Kitchen Kop blog I talk about how you keep your family healthy without going crazy in the process. 🙂

Be sure to subscribe for new updates above, that way you won’t miss anything, although I don’t update here very often.
