No Arms No Legs No Worries!

August 20, 2010 1 Comment

This is another one of those stories that make me feel really small for complaining about any day to day concerns… Yet God cares about it all. If you haven’t seen this, you’ll be amazed.

Faith is living *with* the questions: Grieving with Hope

June 4, 2010 1 Comment

The video below from August of 2008 isn’t something I’m sharing just to draw out your emotions, even though it definitely will. I’m posting it because there is a great message here about how our faith isn’t always free of the “whys” in life. I’ll be sharing more in future posts about my faith journey recently and some of my own struggles, but for now watch and hear how one family learned that faith is living with the questions we have, and that death doesn’t have to be the end. Instead we can grieve with hope.

Thoughts on Suffering

Today I’m just going to share what has occupied my thoughts and prayers lately, and filled me with plenty of “whys” for my God…

It’s stressful to be a god.

Now and then I’ll link to a post from the “Conversion Diary” blog. Usually it’s when Jen writes another post about me. I don’t know how she keeps doing that.

Read this heartfelt post from Shannon about a recent health scare in her family. In the comments I shared my thoughts and I hope you will, too!

Jesus, Bring the Rain

August 8, 2009 4 Comments

Jesus, Bring the Rain… That’s a scary prayer to pray isn’t it? Do you see the “rainy” times in your life as a chance to praise God? Neither do I! This video helps us to see the trials in life with eternal eyes… Lyrics to “Bring the Rain” by Mercy Me I can count a […]

By Tony Snow, who recently passed away

Blessings arrive in unexpected packages – in my case, cancer. Those of us with potentially fatal diseases – and there are millions in America today – find ourselves in the odd position of coping with our mortality while trying to fathom God’s will. Although it would be the height of presumption to declare with […]

My Conversion Story and How Our Marriage was Healed

January 27, 2008 17 Comments

Have you ever gone through bumps in your marriage?  Do you know how normal you are, even if the bumps are much more like Mount Everest? You don’t hear about the ones who make it… Normally we only hear about marriages that didn’t make it, but rarely do you know when someone went through a […]

Life Changes – Five Ways They’re All the Same

January 7, 2008 1 Comment

This was originally written and posted for my Nutrition blog, but I thought it might be a good one to post here too… I’ve had two major “conversions” in my life (and probably other small ones too): my “food conversion” and my Christian conversion. DON’T LEAVE YET! I won’t go weird on you, but this […]

Hi I’m Kelly, a Catholic Christian, a wife, a homeschooling Mom, and a writer.  Matthew’s Gospel says, “Man does not live by bread alone” — and as passionate as I am about real food, nutrition, and natural healing, I believe that knowing the Lord is even more important!  So I started this blog in addition to my other one so I could hopefully help those who don’t “get” a lot of things about Christianity, which is just how I used to feel.

Over at my Kelly the Kitchen Kop blog I talk about how you keep your family healthy without going crazy in the process. 🙂

Be sure to subscribe for new updates above, that way you won’t miss anything, although I don’t update here very often.
