How Dare I Whine?

February 11, 2012 Leave a Comment

The other day my brother and I got going on our own little pity party. He was complaining about his job and his investments, I was whining about our investments and my income. (Read more about how I got a dose of reality…)

Brother Andy Retraces His Brother’s Steps in Thailand

October 30, 2011 Leave a Comment

Recently a close family friend of ours, Brother Andy, went to Thailand to walk in the steps of his brother, Father Larry, who died of a brain tumor early this year. Father Larry was Director of the Father Ray Foundation in Pattaya for a number of years before becoming ill. The Father Ray Foundation takes care of 850 orphaned, abused and disadvantaged children and students with disabilities…

Her Husband Turned Into Jesus, Right Before Her Eyes

Read an excerpt from a beautiful story I just found online at CatholicMom.com (where I am also a contributing writer). 🙂 After the excerpt, just click on the link to finish reading. And then let me know what you think in the comments… “What the hell are you doing?” I yelled out the back door. “Go back to bed!” he shouted back. “I’m just protecting my house and my family.”

Go See “Courageous” THIS Weekend!

September 30, 2011 2 Comments

I hope you’ll go see the movie, Courageous, at the theaters this weekend.  Why this weekend?  Did you know that the more people who see a movie the first weekend it’s out, the more widely distributed and more successful it will be?  And we all know that we need more movies to teach us, and […]

“How Do You Keep Them Out?”

September 11, 2011 Leave a Comment

The kids and I just got back from visiting the West Michigan Healing Field, a local memorial for those who died on September 11th, 2001. Each of the 3200 flags represent a life lost that day, including 21 who were Michigan residents. If you live nearby, you really need to go. Don’t miss the moving video I’ve included at the end of the post from the Healing Field…

Does the Internet Drive You Crazy?

August 26, 2011 Leave a Comment

Jen’s recent post, How to keep the internet from driving you crazy, had some great tips that I knew would help you as much as it has helped me, as someone who is on this machine way too much. Also, I wanted to share a prayer with you that my good friend, Nancy, gave me when I was struggling with my latest computer technical nightmare.

When I looked at this, my mind was flooded with thankfulness at how good God is, that He would create such beauty for us to enjoy while here on earth…

This recent blog post from Focus on the Family, This is what integrity looks like, was a heartwarming read, just knowing that there are many people of integrity still out there!

Hi I’m Kelly, a Catholic Christian, a wife, a homeschooling Mom, and a writer.  Matthew’s Gospel says, “Man does not live by bread alone” — and as passionate as I am about real food, nutrition, and natural healing, I believe that knowing the Lord is even more important!  So I started this blog in addition to my other one so I could hopefully help those who don’t “get” a lot of things about Christianity, which is just how I used to feel.

Over at my Kelly the Kitchen Kop blog I talk about how you keep your family healthy without going crazy in the process. 🙂

Be sure to subscribe for new updates above, that way you won’t miss anything, although I don’t update here very often.
