Have you heard of ‘laminin’?

June 16, 2011 1 Comment

A good friend sent me this story via email and I had to check it out to see for myself. Sure enough, check Google images and Wikipedia, it’s all there… Here’s a 6 minute video to explain it. This guy’s speaking style isn’t normally my favorite, but the content is worth listening to anyway.

I Love Tim Tebow

June 8, 2011 4 Comments

I know nothing about football.  Nothing. The kids will joke at school about who likes Michigan better and who likes Michigan State better, so they’ll ask me and I’ll tell them, “Don’t care.”  “But Moooom, which ONE, if you had to pick?!”  They don’t get it, I really don’t care. But now my answer will […]

Keeping Jesus in Easter – Teaching Kids the Real Deal

April 18, 2011 1 Comment

Like all holidays that have become secularized, as Christians we need to be conscious of keeping our focus on the real deal at Easter time; and if you have kids, then there’s a big responsibility to make sure they “get it”.

Psalm 40

You will love this recent post from Hallee’s blog. She has such a sweet, compassionate heart, and her story really stirred something in me that has been brewing stronger lately… a deeper desire to do more for those who are less fortunate. See if it stirs you in the same way. 🙂

Hillsong Video: “Mighty to Save”

March 28, 2011 1 Comment

They played this at church earlier and I love it, so I’ve been playing it over and over on YouTube while I work tonight. It’s so uplifting and fills me with hope and faith that the Lord really can move mountains… Remember that tonight as you struggle with whatever cross you might be carrying in your life right now.

Saint Maria Goretti – an Example of Purity & Forgiveness

March 23, 2011 2 Comments

The story of Saint Maria Goretti is such a moving and beautiful example of forgiveness that it will not leave you, but for me it didn’t totally rock my world until I saw this show on EWTN one afternoon, a one-man drama on the life of Alessandro, the man who murdered Maria after trying to rape her…

Hi I’m Kelly, a Catholic Christian, a wife, a homeschooling Mom, and a writer.  Matthew’s Gospel says, “Man does not live by bread alone” — and as passionate as I am about real food, nutrition, and natural healing, I believe that knowing the Lord is even more important!  So I started this blog in addition to my other one so I could hopefully help those who don’t “get” a lot of things about Christianity, which is just how I used to feel.

Over at my Kelly the Kitchen Kop blog I talk about how you keep your family healthy without going crazy in the process. 🙂

Be sure to subscribe for new updates above, that way you won’t miss anything, although I don’t update here very often.
